Welcome to the 20th edition of our QDH3 Newsletter for 2017. :)

For QDH3 Hash #536 on SATURDAY the 20th of May we welcome our New Ass R.A. - Just "Phil" to be our Lead Hare and Squeeze 'em in (Tony) to be our Co-Hare.

This is The Virgin Ass R.A. Loose in Laoshan Hash!

It is the 20th Hash of 2017, so, don't miss it! :)

Bring extra warm layers of clothes (for the Circle), and also wear good grippy hiking or running shoes (for the Hash Trail and hills)!

There will be a Hash Trail with hills, forests, parks, and "quiet back streets" and a few surprises with (maybe) great views of the city and coast! :)

Will this be THE BEST HASH EVER?

- FYI, there are 2 China Nash Hashes in 2017 because Roomboy, who runs www.HashChina.net, just wants to synchronise the Nash Hash number with the calendar year. So, in 2018 it will be the 18th Nash Hash and so on. On! On!

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE 3!!!

As you probably already know, Sweet F.A. (me) is retiring from all MisManagement (MM) roles on Sat, 13 May.

Therefore, we need a few people to volunteer to take over the 4 or 5 Hash MM jobs that I have been doing for the past 1.5 years, plus a couple of other MM jobs I've been partly doing. I have also had some great MM help from some other Qingdao Hashers too, which I have really appreciated! :)

The key MM jobs I am currently doing include:

G.M., Acting R.A., On-Sec, Hash Cash, Web Wanker, Hare Razor, Trail Master, etc.

That's a lot of work for 1 person, but each job by itself is not too much work... So, to help serve your Qingdao Hash and keep it running smoothly, please volunteer for 1 of the jobs... or, nominate someone else! ;)

NOTE: The names in the list are a bit out of date and some of the people listed have also already retired from those duties or they haven't fulfilled the role and lost their position, but the key thing is to read about the responsibilities of each job.

Besides general Qingdao Hash chatter, we want to organise and plan ahead for Spring and Summer Hash events (including the next Bus Trip (or Train Trip???) Hash!), plus lots of other exciting and important stuff. We also need to plan for Sweet F.A.'s retirement from MisManagement duites. I do several jobs, so remember that many hands make light work. :)

1. QDH3 Hash #536 这次Hash活动 is in central-western Shinan District on Saturday, 20 May 2017

For the 20th Hash of 2017 the Hare/s will give us The Virgin Ass R.A. Loose in Laoshan Hash. :)

Lead Hare/s: Sweet F.A. (Tim) Hashers on a Hash Trail!!! On! On!

Co-Hare/s: Squeeze 'em in (Tony) + ???

If you want to be a Co-Hare (or Lead Hare) at a future Hash, then please talk to the Hare Razor, Sweet F.A., to arrange a suitable date and location. If you have not been a Lead Hare before, then we can put you with an experienced Co-Hare to teach you the mysterious and arcane secrets of Hash Trail setting... :)

Hashers: Please join us for the next great 2017 Hash run or walk this week we will meet at 2.00pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (see location and map link below) in the main lobby entrance area then at 2.10pm, we'll catch a city bus to the Hash Start Point about 30-35 minutes away across in northern Licang District.

Each week, the Hare/s promise/s us a beautiful Hash run in the quiet back streets, forests, coastal boardwalks, hills and/or parks of a different scenic area of Qingdao. Forget your busy city life for a while. :)

Hashing area: In central-western Shinan District in and around the Julin Forest and Zhongshan Park areas of Qingdao. Expect great views of the city and coast!

This info is given ONLY for those who really REALLY can't get to our main Hash meeting point at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Or, those who would have to pass the starting point to get to Crowne Plaza Hotel, of course you can go directly to the start point too. :)

Hash type: A to A
i.e. If it's an A to A Hash trail, then the start and finish points are in the same place. So, you can leave a bag at the start point.

If it's an A to B Hash trail, then the start and finish points are in different places. So, you should pack lightly as you might have to carry your bag. But, usually, the Hares (trail setters) should organise to store your bag and take it to the end point for you.

Hash trail length: Not quite certain yet, but probably, Runners ~9-11km and Walkers ~7-9km.

Details:
Meet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel lobby at 2.00pm. QDH3 leaders will meet you there. Arrive at Crowne by 2.10pm at the latest!!! Then we'll catch a bus to the Hash Start Point about 25-30 minutes away. Please don't be late!

Make sure you have an early lunch.

Alternative meeting point (Hash starting point) and time (2.45pm) is given above ONLY for those who really REALLY can't get to our main meeting point at Crowne Plaza Hotel. I know I might be expecting too much from Hashers... :O but being a lazy, slack, tardy Hasher is NOT a good reason! ;)

Cost: 20 RMB (includes some beer, water and the Hash trail) - does NOT include dinner.

Dinner: The Lead Hare has arranged for a delicious Chinese dinner in a local restaurant for those who wish to stay for dinner. Usually most people do. This is a separate cost, usually only about 40 - 60rmb per person.

3. Receding Hareline 未来的Hash活动表 - A list of future Hashes and Hares - Wanna be a Hare 怎么当兔子? :)

HARES NEEDED FOR SOME MAY AND JUNE HASHES!!!

我们需要找一些想2017年5月和6月当兔子的人。请尽快举手！谢谢！

If you would like to be a Lead Hare (主任兔子 - plan your Hash trail about 2 weeks before your Hash) or a Co-Hare (帮手兔子 - help carry flour and set the Hash trail on the day of the Hash), then let the Hare Razor (me, aka Sweet FA) know and we'll work out a date for you to set a trail. If you are flexible with your date, then that's even better.

新兔子学习当Hash兔子不是很难。只要两三次志愿当帮手兔子支持主任兔子。当天的兔子免费参加我们的Hash活动（不包括晚餐）。

Remember, Hares Hash for FREE!!! Yay!!! (Plus, the Lead Hare gets a free Bash dinner!!!) ;)

Setting trails is fun and you get a great feeling leading all the Hashers for an enjoyable Hash run or walk. See the Hare's Hash Trail Basics Guide here.

For new Hares, it might look a bit complicated, but it's really not hard at all. :) Just volunteer to Co-Hare with an experienced Lead Hare one or two or three times and then you'll be able to do the Lead Hare job easily in future too!

Lots of other great Hashes and special running events are coming up soon too!
