For
QDH3 Hash #528 on SATURDAY the 25th of March we welcome Sweet F.A. (Tim) to be our Lead Hare.
This is The Better Late Than Never "St. Paddy's Day" Hash!
It is the 12th Hash of 2017, so, don't miss it! :)
Bring
extra warm layers of clothes (for the Circle), and also wear good
grippy hiking or running shoes (for the Hash Trail and hills)!
There will be a Hash Trail with hills, parks, and "quiet back streets" and a few surprises with great views of the city and coast! :)

Wow! :) The Chengdu Nash Hash (10-12 March) was AWESOME!!!
Sadly, besides me, only one other Qingdao Hasher, Two Pieces (Nancy), did the Chengdu Nash Hash trip.
I hope more Qingdao Hashers will do the next All China Nash Hash in Beijing from 15 - 17 September 2017. :) It will be SUPER AWESOME!!!

Hey Folks,
This
is NOT a Hash event, but for anyone wanting to do a little bit of extra
running / jogging / walking on Saturday morning (25 March, 9am), the
Qingdao Red Cross Charity organisation is co-organising a 5K Fun Run for Charity along the coastal boardwalks starting and finishing at the Olympic Marina lighthouse (I think).
I don't know all the details though, so you should ask a Chinese friend or colleague to translate the links below.

time at last weekend's Charity Staircase Run-Up event. Well over
3000rmb was raised for the charity! :)

For the 12th Hash of 2017 the Hare/s will give us The Better Late Than Never "St. Paddy's Day" Hash. :)

you have not been a Lead Hare before, then we can put you with an
experienced Co-Hare to teach you the mysterious and arcane secrets of
Hash Trail setting... :)

Please join us for the next great 2017 Hash run or walk this week We
will meet at 2.00pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (see
location and map link below)
in the main lobby entrance area then at 2.10pm, we'll catch a city bus to the Hash Start Point about 30 minutes away across in east Shibei District.
Each week, the Hare/s promise/s us a beautiful Hash run in the
quiet back streets, forests, coastal boardwalks, hills and/or parks of
a different scenic area of Qingdao. Forget your busy city
life for a while. :)

THE HASH WILL START AT ABOUT 3.10pm, SO PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY FOR THE CHALK TALK INTRODUCTION FIRST.
This info is given ONLY for those who really REALLY can't get to our main Hash meeting point at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Or, those who would have to pass the starting point to get to Crowne
Plaza Hotel, of course you can go directly to the start point
too. :)

Hash type: A to A
i.e. If it's an A to A Hash trail, then the start and finish points
are in the same place. So, you can leave a bag at the start
point.
If it's an A to B Hash trail, then the start and finish points are
in
different places. So, you should pack lightly as you might have to
carry your bag. But, usually, the Hares (trail setters) should organise
to store your bag and
take it to the end point for you. The B Point will be revealed only after Hashers leave the Beer Stop.
Hash trail length: Not quite certain yet, but probably, Runners ~10-12km and Walkers ~8-10km.
Details:
Meet at the
Crowne Plaza Hotel lobby at 2.00pm. QDH3 leaders will meet you
there. Arrive at Crowne by 2.10pm at the latest!!! Then we'll catch a bus to the Hash Start Point about 60 minutes away. Please don't be late!
Make sure you have an early lunch.
Alternative meeting point (Hash starting point) and time (2.50pm) is given above ONLY for those who really REALLY can't get to our main meeting point at Crowne Plaza Hotel. I know I might be expecting too much from Hashers... :O but being a lazy, slack, tardy Hasher is NOT a good reason! ;)
FYI, driving your own car to a Hash event is HIGHLY discouraged... :( :o
Cost: 20 RMB (includes some beer, water and the Hash trail)
- does NOT include dinner.
Dinner:
The Lead Hare has arranged for a delicious Chinese dinner in a local restaurant for those who
wish to stay for dinner. Usually most people do. This is a separate
cost, usually only about 40 - 60rmb per person. NOTE: This week might be 10 - 20rmb more expensive than usual. but, it will be extra delicious too!

If you would like to be a Lead Hare (主任兔子 - plan your Hash trail about
2 weeks before your Hash) or a Co-Hare (帮手兔子 - help carry flour
and set the Hash trail on the day of the Hash), then let the Hare Razor (me, aka Sweet FA)
know and we'll work out a date for you to set a trail. If you are
flexible with your date, then that's even better.
新兔子学习当Hash兔子不是很难。只要两三次志愿当帮手兔子支持主任兔子。当天的兔子免费参加我们的Hash活动 （不包括晚餐）。

Setting trails is fun and you get a great feeling leading all the
Hashers for an enjoyable Hash run or walk.

one or two or three times and then you'll be able
